Support for Survivors of Domestic and Sexual Violence

SNAHC has partnered up with WEAVE, the primary provider of crisis intervention services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Sacramento County, to offer support for survivors of domestic and sexual violence.  Through a multi-disciplinary effort with Sacramento County, law enforcement, the Commercially Sexually Exploited Children Court, Child Protective Services, and the District Attorney’s Office, WEAVE also provides 24/7 response, outreach and services for victims of sex trafficking.

It is WEAVE’s mission to build a community that does not tolerate domestic violence and sexual assault and provides survivors with the support they need to be safe and thrive. WEAVE’s vision is a community free of violence and abuse.

Every Monday, a WEAVE Advocate will be onsite from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Advocates will be available to support individuals impacted by domestic or sexual violence including crisis intervention, referrals, and advocacy. Call (916) 341-0576 extension 2245 during drop-in hours of check-in with the Medical Receptionists.

Also on Mondays, WEAVE conducts a Talking Circle from 3:30-5:00 p.m. The talking circle is a safe and supportive group environment for those who have experienced domestic violence to share their experiences, gain new information, and learn from others. If you are interested in participating in the Talking Circle, first complete an intake with a WEAVE Counselor, either by visiting during drop-in hours or by calling (916) 920-2952.

WEAVE also offers weekly/monthly Legal Workshops for survivors of domestic violence for family law issues including obtaining a Domestic Violence Restraining Order, custody, legal separation/dissolution. The workshop provides legal information and can provide referrals to other WEAVE Legal Services, if necessary. Legal advice is not provided during the workshop. This workshop is held here at SNAHC every 4th Wednesday of the month from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Sequoia Community Room (second floor, above dental clinic). This is a walk-in workshop, and check-in is not necessary.

For 24-hour information and support please contact WEAVE by calling (916) 920-2952.
