Joshua Collver Joins SNAHC as New Behavioral Health Clinical Director

Sacramento, California – August 23, 2019 – Sacramento Native American Health Center (SNAHC) is pleased to announce Joshua Collver as the new Behavioral Health Clinical Director. Joshua is a licensed clinical social worker and health care administrator with a background in hospital-based social work, utilization management, and hospital administration.

Joshua comes to SNAHC from Sutter Health where he managed the admissions department and the inpatient psychiatric social work team, utilization team, and ancillary therapies for children and adult services. Under his management, he helped Sutter Center for Psychiatry maintain Best Places to Work 6-years in a row, built unit programs, and designed and expanded the social work fellowship and internship programs.

“Joshua is a highly respected mental health administrator and advocate in Sacramento. His experience from Sutter Health will enhance our SNAHC’s Behavioral Health integrated care, counseling, and recovery programs and services. His leadership and expertise will advance SNAHC’s mental health access, patient experience, and quality of care,” said Vanessa Cuevas-Romero, MSW, Behavioral Health Initiatives and Services Director.

Joshua’s passion is helping health care organizations keep their patients healthy through quality services. His clinical focus is in helping individuals and families adapt to life-changing trauma and/or chronic medical conditions as well as providing supervision for associate clinical social workers.

As Behavioral Health Clinical Director, Joshua will work in partnership with the Behavioral Health Manager and the Behavioral Health Initiatives and Services Director. He will assist with the development and implementation of programs and processes that impact clinicians and clinical services, as well as ensure the department is providing culturally competent clinical services including diagnostic evaluations and therapy.
