Dr. Hakeem Adeniyi Joins SNAHC as the New Medical Director

Sacramento, California – October 7, 2019 – Sacramento Native American Health Center (SNAHC) is excited to welcome Dr. Hakeem Adeniyi as the new Medical Director. Dr. Adeniyi is Board Certified in Family Medicine with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Tufts University. Following medical school, Dr. Adeniyi completed the UCSF Family & Community Residency at San Francisco General Hospital.

Dr. Adeniyi’s passion lies within serving urban, underserved communities while striving to eliminate health disparities along racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic lines. In regards to his goals at SNAHC, Dr. Adeniyi not only hopes to improve patient experience and increase accessibility, but also seeks to boost work-life satisfaction among care providers.

His professional aspirations fall directly in line with SNAHC values as he notes, “As a family physician, I hope to be person-centered and family focused, recognizing that the people that we serve are not defined by a disease process or their temporary condition; instead, their lives are multifactorial with their health condition as but one of the components with which they must deal each day.” His holistic approach to patient care makes him an ideal leader for SNAHC’s Medical Department.

In addition to providing direct medical services to patients, Dr. Adeniyi will orchestrate the primary and specialty care services of SNAHC. He will also collaborate with our Director of Health Services to support the development, management, and continuous quality improvement of all Medical programs and related staff.

“Dr. Adeniyi brings extensive experience and passion for public health”, said Britta Guerrero, CEO. “We are thrilled to welcome him to the SNAHC leadership team. At a time of growth, Dr. Adeniyi will lead our medical team and provide clinical direction in a way that emphasizes compassionate, quality focused clinical care and forward thinking protocols. We could not be happier to have him in this important role.”
