Finding the Right Birth Control

SNAHC is proud to offer confidential reproductive health services, including a variety of Birth Control methods.

So how do you know which form of birth control is right for you?

Let’s start with one of the most common methods, the pill. According to the CDC, the pill is over 99% effective if used correctly. Of course, that means taking it around the same time every day. If this sounds like a challenge, you might consider weekly or monthly options such as the patch, ring, or shot.

More long-term options are also available, which almost totally eliminate the margin for user error. The following protect from pregnancy for several years!

  •  Implant (3 years)
  • IUD (3-5 years)
  • Copper IUD (12 years)

As you consider your options, be sure to talk with your provider to determine which method is right for you, your body, and your plans for the future.

Come down to SNAHC for all of your family planning needs. In addition to birth control, we offer a variety of barrier methods, STI & HIV screenings, and more!
