P.R.O.T.E.C.T.: Medicine Bag Making Workshop

October 22 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

We have some exciting news! We have released our first youth workshop for our P.R.O.T.E.C.T. (Prevent, Restore, Organize To End Commercial Tobacco) campaign. Through this initiative, we’ll be rolling out workshops every month focused on raising awareness about the dangers of tobacco and secondhand smoke, while also providing tools and resources for healthier choices.

Please join us for a youth workshop where we will learn about Ceremonial Tobacco vs. Commercial Tobacco in our community and we will be making Medicine Bags filled with tobacco, sage, and cedar— traditional medicine that reconnects us with our ceremonies and cultural practices. Conversation will be led by Sage LaPena and her Healing Ways teams will also be assisting us in learning about these traditional plants. Medicine bags will be led by Corrina Snow.

This workshop will be hosted at SNAHC Florin on October 22nd from 6 PM to 7:30 PM! Registration is required. Supplies and snacks will be provided. Space is limited to 20.
