Native Youth Ambassadors (Closed Meeting)

August 13 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The purpose of SNAHC’s Native Youth Ambassadors (NYA) group is to help Native and Indigenous youth ages 12–17 feel like they belong and to support their mental health and well-being. The group helps youth build cultural pride, strength, and connection to their community. Through learning about self-care, healthy foods, physical activity, and caring for their community, youth learn to respect themselves, their culture, and the land. These lessons help them grow into healthy adults who stay connected to their traditions.

Tobacco prevention is part of the group’s focus on self-care, caring for the community, and staying healthy. NYA meets at least six times each year and takes part in trainings to learn more about preventing commercial tobacco use and to support PROTECT activities. To obtain an application for membership email programs@snahc.org.

(Meeting frequency second Thursday of every month from 6-8 pm. @ Youth and Family Center, these meetings are closed, youth must be a registered member)
