Professional Interests / Specialties:
I have a background and interest in both macro and micro social work. My experience as a social worker started in Washington, DC, where I worked in the public policy realm around prison/criminal justice reform. I transitioned to direct social work/therapy as a Co-Occurring Disorder Clinician in which I provides services to individuals with both substance use and mental health challenges/diagnosis. My profession is dedicated to individual therapy for both youth and adults. In addition, my commitment extends to community organizing, focusing on supporting our community in building a more equitable and supportive society.
Philosophy of Care:
Embracing a client-centered philosophy, my therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and collaboration. I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals feel heard and valued. Through a holistic and personalized framework, I aim to empower clients, fostering their innate strengths to facilitate growth and well-being.
What I love about working at SNAHC:
I have several things I like about working at SNAHC. One of them being working across from Luther Burbank and in South Sacramento. I went there and I grew up here, so to be in my community and serve it is a honor.
